Himalayan Explorations (MHE) is proud to announce the launch of its rafting
operations on the Kundalika River, Maharashtra Just 2.5 hours drive from Mumbai
amd Pune, the Kundalika is located in the virgin forests below the Mulshi and
Bhira Dams. Located just 138 Kms. from Mumbai and 100 Kms. from Pune, this
river is ideal for located for single day rafting trips or even short overnight
trips. A one and a half hour run down a 14 Kms river stretch of exciting class
III rapids, promises to give a safe, fun, wet & wild ride to one and all.

| HOW TO GET THERE: |

Mumbai: Our Rafting Operations Base at Sutarwadi is 138 Kms. from Mumbai.
Take the NH 17 Goa Highway road till Kolad.1 Km after the Kolad Market turn left
on the NH 60 on to the Pune highway. From here it is 8 Kms. to Sutarwadi Village
(Rafting reporting office). From our base office it is another 8 Kms for our rafting
put in point at the Sajey Village. From Pune: Rafting Operations
Base at Sutarwadi is 100 Kms. from Pune Take road to Mulshi Dam and drop down
the ghats till turn off to Sajey Village. | |
| STARTING TIME: |
0800
AM every morning. Due to the water flow being controlled by the Bhirey Dam, we
must start our rafting on schedule or face the possibility of trip cancellation
due to lack of water flow. Please report at the start point by 0745 AM

| IMPORTANT NOTE:

Rafting
on Kundalika is dependent upon water being released from the Mulshi Dam. Nature
Trails will not be held responsible for last minute cancellation of rafting due
to less water. Nature Trails will make a 100% refund for un-utilised services
in case rafting is cancelled at the last moment due to water conditions.
