The Mercury Nature Camp is located on a beach of silver sand
on the banks of the Holy Ganges. Fourteen kilometers from the holy city of Rishikesh,
the camp is nestled within the virgin forests on the Great Himalayan foothills
and situated on the far side of the river. The camp is only accessible by boat.
With
the river on one side and protected forest on the other, the four acre complex
provides a pure, unspoiled and exclusive atmosphere to visitors. The camp provides
accommodation in 25 luxury tents with attached verandahs. Complete
care has been taken to ensure that the camp conforms to the strictest environmental
guidelines and practices. Infact, the environmental code followed by our organization
has been adopted by many nature based outfits in the Himalayas. Even though there
are no permanent structures at the site, our team of highly experience guides,
cooks , Sherpas and management
have spared no efforts to make the it a very comfortable and fun place to be. Our
faculty boasts of experienced, competent and dependable members looking after
adventure activities, naturopathy, astronomy, Yoga, bird watching and wild life.

The virgin forests around the camp are
home to over 250 different kinds of birds like Minivets, Flycatchers, Oriloes,
Hornbills, Woodpeckers, Lapwings, Fowl, Martins, Flowerpeckers etc. The
jungles around the camp are part of the Rajaji National Park limits and are home
to several species of deer , elephants , wild boar , leopard , apes , monkeys
and numerous small mammals and reptiles.
